Trump Raises Superintelligence
Speaking beside Xi in the Grand Foyer, Trump said the two would discuss AI as a way to promote peace. He said the agenda would cover “security, technology and superintelligence.”
Chips at the Heart of the Trump-Xi AI Talks
The two countries are rivals in advanced AI, and Trump has argued for light regulation so the U.S. can outpace China. The Trump administration has allowed Nvidia to ship its H200 AI chips to approved customers in China. Xi wants the U.S. to loosen its export restrictions on cutting-edge chips.
Tech Leaders in the Room
