Starting a business is a big achievement for many entrepreneurs, but maintaining one is the larger challenge. There are many standard challenges that face every business whether they are large or small. It is not easy running a company, especially in a fast-paced, ever-changing business world. Technology advances, new hiring strategies, and now, political changes coming with the new administration, all add to the existing business challenges that entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives have to deal with.
Maximizing profits, minimizing expenses and finding talented staff to keep things moving seem to be top challenges for both SMBs and large corporations. We have been interviewing companies from around the world to discover what challenges they are facing in their businesses. We also asked each company to share business advice they would give to a younger version of themselves.

What is your role? What do you enjoy most about your role?
I'm the CEO and founder of Amendola Communications. For the first decade, I focused on expanding the business as well as serving accounts and growing a fantastic team. Today, I primarily lead the company's business development efforts. There is nothing more exciting than scoring a win! I love collaborating with my "A-team" to develop successful strategies that give prospects and clients confidence that we can help them rise above the noise in a very competitive marketplace and drive further market dominance.
What are the biggest challenges in your business right now?
Our biggest challenge right now is bringing in more business than we can handle. That's why I always try to stay ahead of the hiring process and would never want to take on any business for which we couldn't do a great job. It's a delicate balance and finding top-notch professionals who understand our specific industry niche -- and fit into our collaborative, down-to-earth corporate culture -- is certainly not easy. To achieve this goal, I don't rely on ads, but rather on networking to generate referrals for open positions.
If you could go back in time, what business advice would you give to a younger version of yourself?
The importance of attitude can't be overstated. I follow this motto, "If you think you can, or you think you can't, you will be right either way." This has proved to be true in every aspect of my life, not just in business. I would add, "Have confidence and believe in yourself. Think positive! Smile! You can do it!"
