MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has instructed the country’s ministries to evaluate cooperation mechanisms with the U.S. federal government, his government said in a statement on Monday.

The statement said Pena Nieto had met with members of his cabinet on Sunday evening to learn what advances had been made, before his six-year term ends on November 30. It gave no further details on why the evaluation had been undertaken.
